Who knew it was National Nonprofit Blog Week?
There are two great conversations on Blogs and Nonprofits happening this week (just back from a three day break, I'm entering the discussions a bit late).
The first is on TechSoup: Weblogs: Beyond the Hype. Marnie Webb of CompuMentor and Andy Carvin of the Center for Media and Community are facilitating a series of dynamic conversations, including:
-The agenda for week's discussion
-What do I need to start a weblog?
...and several other informal conversations on blogs, e-Advocacy and the like. (Go here for a ful list of discussions.)
Additionally, Marnie has posted four Profiles of Nonprofit Weblogs (and Vermont Nonprofit CommunIT made the cut!!!).
The other conversation going on is at the Chronicle of Philanthropy's discussion forums (thanks to ONE/NW blog for pointing this out to me).
The article and case study Advocacy Groups Discover the Power of Blogs to Spread Their Messages that gets the conversation going is here.
The discussion "To blog or not to blog" is here.
